Kevin Navarro

Kevin J. Navarro serves as a spiritual formation coach for pastors, missionaries, and Christian leaders around the world. He came to CRM (now: Novo) and Imago Christi with 33 years of ministry experience: as an International Director with Continental Ministries, various pastoral roles (youth pastor, worship pastor, adult ministries pastor) and as the pastor of an Evangelical Free Church for 23 years. He is ordained in the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA). Kevin has also been married to his best friend, who has served with him in ministry for 30 years. They have four sons, one daughter, and two daughters-in-law.

He has also served in the academic community having taught pastoral theology, spiritual theology, and liturgical theology at Denver Seminary, A.W. Tozer Theological Seminary, Pacific Rim Christian College and at the University of Manchester, UK. He is a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado (BM, BME), Denver Seminary (MDiv), and Fuller Theological Seminary (DMin and DMiss) where he studied Christian Spirituality under Dallas Willard and James Bryan Smith. He also earned a PhD in theology from The University of Manchester, UK, where he wrote his thesis on the doxological theology of T.F. and J.B. Torrance. Kevin is the author of The Complete Worship Leader (Baker Books, 2001) and The Complete Worship Service (Baker Books, 2005) (see Books by OIC Authors).

Kevin desires to offer hope and perspective for leaders who are in the middle of the battle. Many desire a spiritual mentor. Some are discouraged and need encouragement. Others are lonely and need a brother in Christ. Others are working through criticism and betrayal and need prayer and guidance. Others are going through transitions and need lifelong leadership perspective and wisdom. Finally, above all else, Kevin longs to see ministry leaders cultivate their first-order calling (loving God with everything that is within them). Intimacy with the Triune God of Grace is foundational from which every other ministry flows.
